Trees Clean Air. So Do We.

There are a number of practical things you can do to help protect yourself and your family from the harmful effects of poor air quality:

  • Change your air filters frequently. When was the last time you changed your air filters? Box filters must be changed once per year; regular filters require replacement every two or three months. While high-efficiency models are extremely effective at blocking even very small irritants such as bacteria and pollen, it is important to speak with a heating or cooling professional before you install them, as certain models could be incompatible with your current HVAC system and may cause harm.
  • Clean your air ducts. Our professionals at Aire Serv know the importance of inspecting and cleaning residential ductwork, ensuring that common irritants such as mold and dust are not compromising your indoor air quality.
  • Install a dehumidifier. If you live in a humid climate, you should be aware of how moisture in the air can lead to mold and mildew growth. Installing a dehumidifier cuts extra moisture and prevents the spread of harmful contaminants.
  • Get “fresh air” in your home. Did you know that the air quality inside your home is as much as five times worse in terms of pollution and contamination than outside air? Opening your windows is helpful, but you can up the ante by installing mechanical whole-house ventilators to improve airflow and air quality in your home.
  • Dust and vacuum often. It is important to make sure that you are frequently cleaning your home by removing dust and other contaminants through vacuuming and dusting.

We know that we’re doing much more than just fixing people’s HVAC systems—we’re fixing their ecosystems. Let us help you perfect your indoor air quality today!
